Play the game, be decent to the person on the other side of the board, and do not take the game apart and sell the pieces. The rest is detail.
By using Rook, Paper, Scissors! at rookpaperscissors.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the game. We may update them; the date above changes when we do, and continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
Anyone, but you must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live — 13 in most countries, 16 in some. If you are younger, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf. Most of the game needs no account at all.
You may play as a guest or sign in with Google, Twitch or an emailed link. There is no password, so keep control of whatever mailbox or provider account you signed in with — anyone who has that has your game. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You may delete your account at any time by asking us; see the Privacy page.
Do not:
We may suspend or delete an account that does any of this, without notice. Ratings gained by cheating may be removed.
Copyright © 2026. All rights reserved. The game — its code, artwork, sounds, text, rules, characters and name — is our property and is protected by copyright. You are given a personal, non-transferable, revocable permission to play it in a browser, and nothing else.
In particular you may not copy, reproduce, decompile, reverse-engineer, modify, republish, redistribute, sell, sublicense or make derivative works from any part of the game, nor scrape it, nor host your own copy of it, nor pass it off as your own. No part of this is open source and no licence to reuse it is granted by publishing it on the web.
Recording video of yourself playing, streaming it, or writing about it is welcome and always will be, including on monetised channels.
Everything you earn in the game — gold, keys, chests, hats, campaign progress, your army — is a licence to use a feature of the game, not property. It has no value outside the game, is not a currency, cannot be exchanged for money, and may not be sold, traded or transferred to anybody else.
Chests open by chance. The odds are set out in the game and we do not hide them.
We may change how much things cost, how much they give, and how the game plays. This is a living game and balance changes; nothing you have earned is guaranteed to keep the same value against the rest of the game for ever. We will not take away something you paid real money for while your account is in good standing.
No purchases are offered at the moment. Everything in the game is earned by playing. This section is here for when that changes, and we will say so clearly before it does.
If and when purchases exist, they will be sold through a payment provider acting as merchant of record. That provider handles the payment, the tax and the receipt; we never see or store your card details. Their terms will also apply to the sale.
Delivery and the right to withdraw. A purchase is delivered to your account immediately. Where you have a statutory right to cancel a digital purchase — such as the 14-day right of withdrawal in the EU and UK — you agree to immediate delivery and acknowledge that this right is lost once delivery has begun. Nothing here removes a right the law gives you that cannot be waived.
Outside that, purchases are final. If something goes wrong — you were charged twice, or bought something the game failed to deliver — write to us and we will put it right.
Online games and the play-with-chat feature involve other human beings. We do not moderate every game and we cannot promise that everyone will be pleasant. Display names that break section 4 can be reported to us. When you use the chat feature you are also bound by Twitch's terms.
The game is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise it will always be up, always be free of bugs, or that a game will never be lost to a dropped connection. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and we may stop running it altogether — though we would give notice before shutting it down for good.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost progress, lost ratings, or lost virtual items. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, at the time of writing, is nothing. None of this limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
You may stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections 5, 6, 9 and 11 survive.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, and the courts of Ukraine have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, nor of the right to bring proceedings there.
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing something once does not mean we have given it up. These terms are the whole agreement between us about the game.
