Chess battle royale: Tumbledown
A battle royale where the fighters still move like chess pieces. You pick a king and two of a kind, then get one move every three seconds while the island shrinks to its heart.

How it plays
- Hearts. Take pieces to steal hearts. The last band with hearts wins.
- One move a bell. Every 3 seconds, tap a piece, then a square.
- The shore falls. Orange ground drops into the stars. Get off it.
The details
- Your band
- Eight bands drop onto a floating island: a king and two of one kind (knights, bishops or rooks), your pick in the first 9 seconds.
- Hearts
- Your band has 5. A piece taken, or fallen into the stars, comes back by balloon 2 bells later beside your king. No hearts left: you are out.
- Autopilot
- Tap another piece and it goes instead. Your other pieces step out of danger by themselves.
- Two for one square
- Orders land one at a time in an order the dice shuffle, never by who tapped first. The first to land moves in; the next one takes it there if it can, or stays put.
- The shore
- From bell 6 the shore cracks and glows orange, then falls 3 bells later: the island shrinks to its heart.
- Crates and bushes
- Crates drop a Heart or a Power cube (your takes cost one heart more). Bushes hide you from anyone not right next to you.
