How it plays

  1. Last one standing. Knock the other armies out. The last army standing wins.
  2. Orders on the bell. Tap a piece, then a square: it moves on the bell.
  3. Two crowns. A king taken once gets up again. Twice, its army is out.

The details

A king and four
Every army starts in a corner: a king behind a rook, a bishop and two knights (or four of one kind). Nothing can reach your king at the start, and the first three bells are a truce.
The bell
Every 4 seconds; up to three orders a bell. Tap an ordered piece again to change its order.
Fair turns
On the bell the orders land one at a time, one of each army in turn, in an order the dice shuffle every bell: never by who tapped first.
Two for one square
The first to land moves in; the next one takes it there if it can, or stays put if it cannot. Crossed blades mark the square.
Time
After 60 bells (4:00) it is the most crowns, then the most left on the board.
