Battle Royale: one chess piece, a big map
One piece, not an army. Pick a king, knight, rook, bishop or queen, then lock in an order every five seconds in the fog. You can woo another player into a duo, and you can betray them whenever it suits you.

How it plays
- One unit, one order. Every 5 seconds: tap a lit tile to move, or hold a unit to act. Sent is locked in.
- First come, first served. Two units into one tile: whoever locked in first keeps it. The other is out.
- Last one standing. The ground falls in from the edge. Grab crates, hide in bushes, survive.
The details
- Fighters
- Pick in the first two turns. King: 1 step, 4 hearts, punches for 2. Knight: jumps, 4. Rook: 3 straight, 4. Bishop: 3 diagonal, 4, sees further. Queen: 2 any way, 3.
- Strikes and clashes
- Moving onto a unit hits it for 2 (it must still be there). Moving into a tile somebody already moved into this turn knocks you out.
- The ring
- Fight (1), Push (into the sky is out), Guard (no hits this turn), Scout (+2 sight), Woo (woo back: a duo), Kiss (+1 heart each), Betray.
- Crates
- Heart +1, Shield soaks a hit, Power +1 damage. A unit knocked out leaves Power behind.
- Pickups
- Boots: next move 1 further. Smoke: hidden 2 turns. Trap: hold yourself to drop it, 2 damage. Eye: see 3 further. Bomb: 1 damage next to you.
- Fog and bushes
- You see only round your unit and your duo. A unit in a bush is seen only from next to it.
