Real-time chess football: Rumble Ball
Crown Cup with the turns taken away. You still kick along your piece’s lines, but nobody waits for you. Pieces you leave alone fall back and guard, so you can spend your attention on the ball.

How it plays
- Score. Kick along your piece’s lines into their net. First to five.
- Real time. Tap a piece, then a square: it acts now, once a round.
- Knock out. Take an enemy from up to two squares. Take the carrier, take the ball.
The details
- Kick along your lines
- A gold dot dribbles a step and a lane kicks it: a rook straight, a bishop on the diagonal, a knight chips a jump. The first piece in the way gets it.
- Back home
- A piece knocked out is back home two rounds later. The bar shows the round running out.
- Two for one square
- Online both sides’ orders wait for the bell and land one at a time, a coin for which side goes next, never by who tapped first. The first to land moves in; the next one knocks it out there if it can, or stays put.
- Your others guard
- Pieces you do not order fall back and knock out a carrier in reach; with Autopilot off they wait for you. Only you play the ball. 3:30 a match; level means sudden death with the walls down.
